Construction on Track for New SSM Health ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ Hospital and Ambulatory Care Center

01/03/2019

Construction on the new SSM Health ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ Hospital and Ambulatory Care Center is on track as 2018 saw the completion of several key milestones in the project’s schedule.

Over the past year, the area north of the hospital has been transformed from vacant lots into a bustling construction site where two large, distinctive structures are taking shape as the new, state-of-the-art $550 million hospital and ambulatory care facility.

SSM Health announced the plan to construct the new hospital and ambulatory care center in 2015. The paired structures will replace the current hospital. The announced construction also marked the start of the official partnership between SSM Health and ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, as well as an expansion of the decades-long partnership between SSM Health and , the University’s academic medical practice.

2018's Milestones

August

Guests and employees of ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ and SSM Health celebrated the topping out of the hospital in a ceremony where the final steel beam was lowered into place. The beam bore the signatures of employees and well-wishers.
